Dallas Executive Airport Meeting

The next Dallas Executive Airport community update meeting is Tuesday, August 16th, 6:30PM at the conference room at DEA (5303 Challenger Dr).  The meeting was moved forward a month so that the Aviation Department could update the community on the re-opening of runway 13-31 before it's re-opened.

This meeting will cover the following topics:

* Reopening of runway 13-31.  This is the long runway that has been closed for almost 2 years during the expansion construction.  Once re-opened in a few weeks, we will likely see a significant up take in noise as planes start to use it again.  It's important your neighbors have an opportunity to hear from the Aviation Department what things to expect with the re-opening.

* The University of Texas Arlington will be presenting information gathered in their workshops in June as part of the Land Use Study.  They will also share the next steps with regards to the study.  Community input is what will make the plan the most effective tool for determining future development that benefits the neighborhoods that surround the airport.
